From Nafplio to Sparti

Don't expect to find any historical information below, too many people would fall asleep before the end of the page, I will just sum up hours of visit in a few pictures.

First, Epidaurus, and specially the theater, in which they still organise a festival every summer. It must be quite amazing to see a play by Shakespeare here, in the middle of the olive trees (I just hope that the cicadas stop their deafining noise during the plays...). Unfortunately, the theater is almost everything which is left nowadays. You can guess where were the temples around. But it is very interesting to see the teams which are currently working for the restoration of the site.

Then the Mycenea citadel, built 3500 years ago (!)

In Sparti, nothing related to the old Greek legend about the terrible warriors is left, but the olive museum is nice to be visited.
