Even if I am back in Paris for the moment, December is the moment when the Christmas markets appear in most of the towns, specially in the North and East of France, so it gives me a good excuse to discover some of them, starting with Arras:
Then Béthune:
Beauvais, which still has an incredible historical heritage, in spite of the fact that most of the town was destroyed during the Second World War:

And the last stop will be in Amiens, after the sunset, to enjoy the sound and light show in front of the cathedral. It will be the last visit of the year, but it might the most incredible one:
