Sri Lanka : around Kandy

Around Kandy, rice fields everywhere, and at the moment, the rice is growing and is still young, which gives amazing colors to the landscape.



The monkeys are waiting on the side of the road, in case some vegetables or fruits would fall for the many trucks which drive there every day, people are washing their clothes in the river in order to take advantage of the first day of sunshine in a while (and they are not the only ones to enjoy the sun...).



70 kilometers (and 4 hours by the "road"...) from Kandy, aboriginal people, the Vedda, still live in the forest, almost untouched by the modern civilisation (but it seems it won't last a lot longer), and they are willing to share their knowledge and way of life with everyone.
