Houston

Welcome to Texas, in Houston, the 4th largest city in the US (after New York, Los Angeles and Chicago).

The center is full of contrasts, with old preserved historical buildings, surrounded by some of the highest and most modern skyscrapers of the country.

Squirrels playing hide and seek in the Buffalo Bayou Park.

There is also a colony of bats in the park. I could hear them and smell them, but only got to see one, the rest of them had already gone to sleep in the bridge in which they live.

Wanna try that pool on the rooftop of one of the highest skyscrapers of the city?

In Montréal, there is an extensive system of tunnels, linking most of the buildings, in which you can find shops, restaurants, supermarkets and everything you might need, in order to keep people away from the extreme cold during winter.
In Houston, they did exactly the same thing (with tunnels and skywalks), but to keep people away from the extreme heat.
We are only beginning of May, and I can't remember the last time that I have suffered so much from the heat...
