Kyoto (2)

First of all, I would like to share with you an example of the small problems you face in Japan when you can't speak Japanese. This is a water boiler, what are you supposed to do to get hot water in your mug?


Here is the Heian-jingu Temple:




Thanks for reminding me that I am supposed to go to the Louvre when I am back homr, in order to see the Vermeer exhibition:



The bridge close to the Nanzen-ji:




And then a very nice walk on the Path of Philosophy:

And the last temple of the day, the Ginkakuji and its Silver Pavillion, whch never got covered with silver.


 


(and, no, the sculptures are not built in concrete, as I heard in the mouth of French tourists, there are made of sand...)

Black sesame ice cream, as a reward for this long walk.


And the second reward comes in the gardens of the Imperial Palace: first bit of blue sky in 4 days!



Looks like someone is getting married...
