Belfast

Here I am, at last, in Belfast, settled at the Lagan Backpackers. I immediately had the feeling that I had joined a bunch of friends for a few days. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, both in the city and at the backpackers.
Here is the address of the building, it was starting well:

In the morning, I can hardly believe it, the sun is shining and the sky is perfectly blue, without a single cloud. Can I get any luckier?

The first few hours will be spent in the Western district, when the Catholic and Protestant areas are still separated by a wall. The Berlin one was not the last one in Europe, even if we tend to forget this one.
The murals bring us back to our recent modern history, with the news we saw on tv when we were teenagers, between hunger strikes and military actions. Can this really happen in Western Europe, in the 21st century?

The afternoon will be more relaxing, with a walk in the old center and to the brand new Titanic museum, looking forward to going back to the backpacker and having another nice evening chatting with plenty of nice people.
