Isle of Arran - Glasgow

My Instagram moment: a picture of me in the morning, just after I woke up.

After queueing at the car rental office during 30 minutes, getting back there because the ticket they had given me to get out of the car park was not working, getting lost in Edinburgh during almost an hour, taking my first roundabout in Scotland (always an interesting moment, each time I rent a car in a country when they drive on the wrong side of the road - no polemic argument, please), I eventually managed to board the ferry to the Isle of Arran.

Here you can find whatever you want: castles, Druidic ceremonial sites, white sand beaches, golf courses, "pony trekking" as they call it (not for me today). Finished the day with a picnic on the beach, while waiting for the ferry back to the continent / the main island, call it as you want.

This is the Lochranza castle, which is supposed to be the one Hergé used for "L'île noire"

People are having take away pizzas and fish & chips while waiting for the ferry, and it looks like the seagulls know it, and are waiting for the leftovers...

Good news: the hostel in Glasgow was very easy to find, and I could park the car right in front of it. I didn't ask for more at 10pm.
