Everyone knows that giants don't like getting their feet wet. That's why Finn built the Causeway to Scotland, when he went there to defy the local giant.
It is crowded and amazingly windy (no surprise), and smaller than what I had imagined, but it is still worth the trip
Other interesting stops on the road: the old Bushmills distillery and the Dunluce castle (good for my statistics)
In Derry, back to modern history, with another series of murals
(remember, "Sunday bloody Sunday", that was here), encircling the old
walled city. Strange mix of discoveries.
Each time you drive for a
few miles here, it seems that you go on crossing the border between
Northern Ireland (and therefore the UK), and the Republic of Ireland.
You hardly notice it, except for the speed limit road signs (going back
and forth between miles and kilometers, that's a bit tricky), and that
you have to pay attention when you buy something (should I use pounds or
euros?).
